  • The Grateful Gourmet has a vast and everchanging quantity of inventory. So much so, it cannot all be on our website. However, if there is a product that is not on our site and you would like it shipped, you can call (815) 777-1922 or email us at info@gratefulgourmetgalena.com.

  • In-Store Purchases

    Merchandise may be returned for store credit within thirty days of purchase with receipt. No returns will be accepted for purchases older than 30 days or without a receipt. There will be no accepted returns on any packaged food items, which include coffees and teas, gift box items, cookbooks, or items purchased from our sale room.

    The 30-day return policy for ceramic knives does not cover damage caused by improper use, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear from use. Please contact Kyocera directly www.cutlery.kyocera.com for warranty and sharpening information.

    Online Purchases

    Returns for orders placed online will receive a full refund within thirty days of purchase. The customer will handle shipping charges for any online returns. Any damages or defects of products ordered online must be reported within 48 hours of receiving product in order to receive an in-store credit or replacement. Damaged or defective product must be returned by the customer at the expense of The Grateful Gourmet Co. before a credit will be issued or a replacement sent.

    Items must be in their original condition and be accompanied with its receipt. We allow 30 days for a return or exchange. Food items, teas, coffees, sale room items and gift boxes are not returnable.

    Donation Requests

    The team at The Grateful Gourmet Co. appreciates being included in requests for charitable fundraisers and will accommodate donations when possible. To be considered by the Donations Committee, please email us at info@gratefulgourmetgalena.com. Phone or faxed requests will NOT be accepted. Organizations are limited to one (1) request per year. Please do not send duplicate requests. With some exceptions we try to limit donations to charitable causes within our community.

  • Orders will be received within 3-7 days from the order date. If an item is back-stocked or out of stock you will be notified.

  • The Grateful Gourmet Co. will ship all online orders from our store location in Galena, IL We currently ship in the U.S. only. We will package and ship orders as quickly as possible. Orders of in-stock items will be processed within 2-4 business days. Should there be any delay in shipping, you will be notified via email. All customers will be notified of any backorders with expected shipping date as well as have the option of cancelling the order if necessary.

    Transit times vary depending on location. We will provide tracking information when available from the carrier. Once shipments have left our store location, customers will need to track/follow their order through the carrier. If there is an issue with the carrier delivering the shipment, please contact the carrier first. The Grateful Gourmet Co. will assist when possible if the carrier cannot resolve the issue.

  • While we sell in-house roasted coffee by Galena Roasters, we do not sell by the cup. We will be happy to direct you to our favorite coffee shop a few doors up the street. It’s called Galena Roasters Coffee Shop and is located at 118 North Main St., Galena, IL. Amazing coffee!!

  • YES! We take the time to walk you through the store, and create a designated rack for your guests to shop. We can also happily help your guests who can’t make it in the store over the phone and have the items shipped directly to the couple!

  • Gift cards can be purchased either in store or over the phone. Shipping is free. A small gift card with a message can be included with the gift card if desired. Unfortunately, as of now gift cards cannot be applied to web orders.

  • We do have an in-house knife sharpening service. Please allow 48 hours for knives to be sharpened. You will be called or sent a text when your order is ready for pickup. This service is for knife sharpening services only. We currently do not offer tip or bolster repair services, or mail in service. Payments should be cash or check only since this is a separate business.

  • There are several local charities that we support. We are dedicated to giving back to our community and staying involved. Donation requests can be made by submitting the required documentation to info@gratefulgourmetgalena.com
